Inspired by a lyric from Amos Lee’s Southern Girl, In a Mississippi Morning reflects the quiet beauty of the Mississippi Delta as day begins. Painted from an aerial perspective, the familiar geometry of fields gradually dissolves into soft morning light, where earth and sky seem to meet on the horizon.

Muted greens, blues, and weathered neutrals evoke the calm rhythm of the Delta landscape, while a single coral-colored field catches the first warmth of the morning sun.
