What began as an abstract painting found a second life as a garden. Layers of teal sweep across the canvas, leaving behind loose, unexpected flower shapes filled with glimpses of the painting underneath—olive green, coral, soft pink, blue and deep charcoal.
Rather than painting the flowers onto the surface, they were created by painting around them, allowing pieces of the original work to become their petals, leaves and stems. The result is playful and graphic, with imperfect silhouettes and bits of history showing through.
